i’m conflicted on how to feel about the ICE murders. my abuser lost his citizenship and got deported because of ICE. that felt like justice. but seeing all the injustices on the news makes my heart heavy.

The way immigration is supposed to work is by prioritizing people like your abuser being deported. ICE only wants quantity, not quality in a sense. There’s even been reports from people in ICE that investigations into removing high profile cases (think traffickers, cartel, etc) have been suspended in favor of just rounding up whoever they can find.
