fr, calling them “boys” takes away their culpability by giving them an excuse (i.e. implying they’re immature, don’t know better, and will grow out of it). calling them boys treats it like a mistake when those men *chose* to act like that.

I just say boy instead of man because age doesn’t=maturity. A man behaves like a man. An immature 35 year old is a little boy. Plus it pisses guys off when they get called a boy at there grown ah age

This is me!!! I hate when people infantilize grown ass men. They’re fully aware of their actions and any harm they may cause. By implying that they’re “boy” takes that away. I hold this same standard when people say “boys will be boys” after do something harmful.
