To make a long statement short I just think that it is a terrible adaptation that feels like someone used spark notes to figure out a plot but not THE plot

to expand on #2s point, the main issue people find with it is that heathcliff was originally a man of color, which played deeply into the plot. i love jacob elordi, but they should’ve cast someone else in order to correctly execute the plot.
