That’s so valid! It’s totally normal to want to be in a relationship with someone and look forward to that. Regarding the “I shouldn’t care about a relationship or a man and focus on myself” I find that to be a bit binary and restrictive. I personally would say that you should be comfortable being single even when looking forward to a relationship.

Reading this at 22 in the same situation. The dating apps are hell and every time I think I’ve got a good conversation going they go and make it weird (I’m very open about the fact that I’m asexual and they still try to sext and I do not know how to pivot from there)
