this is a ca condor and the biggest land bird on the continent. where i live they often travel with turkey vultures since the latter has a much better sense of smell but condors are able to rip into carcasses more easily, so it's mutually beneficial for both 😊 condors are so beautiful and lowkey terrifying to see in person, they're under 30 lbs but (as u can see) still massive

well now i’m not gonna say it 🗿 but this is a mantis shrimp & their punches are about the same speed as a bullet and a force 2,500 times their own weight. if a human had the same speed/strength, a single punch could break a steel wall. i like watching videos of them punching their meals because it’s a “THWACK” sound and then they grab their meal

hyenas are more closely related to cats than dogs. theyre also closely related to mongooses & meerkats
