I could never enjoy dating someone with a seizure disorder.

if that’s a dealbreaker for you then you have some self reflection to do

exactly. my bf COULD have his license back in the future, he just has to go a year without a seizure. unfortunately he had one last month after 10 months without one so it’s back to square one :( his license has been suspended for 2 years now, and believe me he HATES IT

I have focal epilepsy and I don’t have grand mal seizures so maybe it’s different but is he self reporting them or how did he get his license suspended because the last time I had one my neurologist told me not to drive but that he wasn’t required to report it in Missouri

Also that other commenter is just extremely ignorant, you’re a great girlfriend for driving him. They act like epilepsy is something you choose.

he has grand mal seizures and in the state we live his neurologist has to send in a form to the dmv stating if he’s still safe to drive every year around his bday. basically he tells his neurologist about the seizure and his neuro tells the dmv.

Damn I knew some states were like that it sucks especially if you only get them every six months or so. I’m grateful I’ve never had one while driving and mine are rare now with medication.
