People who just overly nitpick about people speaking, as in someone using whenever instead of when. Ex.“whenever I was_” and u literally just blow a gasket over hearing things like that. As an English major, you people are insufferable to be around.

I work in the news and turn this thinking off and on depending on the situation. Of course I’m going to be picky at work, but why would I ever expect my friend who’s speaking to me in a non-professional context to put their grammar under a microscope 24/7 💀

Exactly. If we’re talking about an essay? Sure. Public speaking? Of course! But having an ordinary conversation? Why do you care. I don’t even notice it and grammar is most of my degree.
