Anyone else get really emotional when looking at history… Like wow. These are people from thousands of years ago and yet they’re just like us. A mother 3,000 years ago brushed her daughter’s hair the same exact way I’m going to.

Unironically every time I think abt the Pompeii graffiti it makes me feel a certain way because we’ve been saying dumb shut like “I get bitches” for so so long. Vikings graffited shit like “Bjorn was here” and “This is very high up!” In caves thousands of years ago. We’ve always been good and silly creatures. Life is beautiful and love flows in our veins

100% History makes me feel so human because no matter how much time and circumstance change we are so similar.

I’m literally just watching archaeologists find and learn from an untouched tomb and it’s making me tear up. Seeing a little clay figurine is sending me into orbit

I mostly get emotional for women and reading about what they had to endure prior to us gaining rights, medical advancements, etc.

i’m now watching a documentary about the incan empire & reminded of the 13 year old girl who was sacrificed to the gods, and her body was perfectly preserved by the mountains. that is so fascinating in a million different ways
