This all started bc I’m thinking about moving out and my mom is convinced I don’t know how to take care of myself and I brought up how I did that and also cleaned the whole house over the weekend and she straight up looked me in the eyes and said I never did that. My dad and brothers don’t even remember.

This makes me so sad. My childhood best friend was the eldest daughter and lived like this, but I didn’t understand bc I was young + an only child. My mom would send me over to her house with a whole grocery order to help out a bit
