My bf just recently rewatched breaking bad and I had never seen the show but I heard so many horrible things about Skyler online and then almost every episode I watched with him I was so confused and waiting for her to turn into a massive bitch and then the show ended and I was like that’s what people were complaining about???? She was literally voted the most hated person in television above fucking Joffrey bc she didn’t like that her husband cooked METH???
I didn’t finish ALL of Dexter, I basically stopped when Rita was gone (because I felt like the series should of finished there) but the whole time I felt bad for Rita for having to be lied to by Dexter and dead ass neglected. He was good to the kids at least, but Rita deserved an honest man imo
Instagram is genuinely flooded with more hate speech on a daily basis than Memedroid, ifunny, and 4chan combined! Many people on Reddit are more upset with Skylar not choosing to go straight to the DEA and ask to get away from Walt as opposed to her helping with Walt’s business. This honestly should have helped the DEA. Walt’s classroom was missing stuff because he used it to cook meth. Imagine if Skylar suddenly said I think my husband is cooking meth not long after that check.
Also, Skylar also got criticized for not signing the divorce papers. I think the whole not going to the DEA and not signing the papers was all about just trying to protect Walt Jr from what was really going on. This is where Reddit debates a lot. Because some people on Reddit really wanted Skylar to go through with the divorce even if it hurt Walter Jr.
On the other side of the debate. People think Skylar did the right thing based on how Walt Jr eventually ended up reacting when he found out about what was going on. The main difference would have been, Hank might not have died if Skylar acted sooner. Which many believe Hank’s death to be a big factor in how Walt Jr processed the breaking news.
