This is a good amazing school but a small program so that means that she needs me so the program can continue to exist. This is what I think, idk if it’s true. But why else would she email me every single day. I think to keep the program alive she will give me the money and atp that’s an offer I can’t refuse. But like what y’all thing

bring up how important the program is to you, but how financially you need more, you just have to be honest. most of the time professors will try harder once hearing in person

It’s a zoom meeting cuz this is an out of state masters for me. I already did my bachelors out of state. So I am in a lot of debt. My parents said they would pay for undergrad but they didn’t so I’m drowning in loans. I work until 5-7pm every day I’m tired. I need a masters

Lemme tell you the situation for this. My parents said they would pay for my entire undergrad. They financially abused me which is why I tried not to get a job during the rest of my undergrad. So first I went to a school that I was forced to go to. I had a full ride to another but this one my mom paid the deposit without telling me. It was 10k a semester. So my parents didn’t allow me to drive even with a license or work. I was housebound. My family friend got a job my parents thought was (1)

Suitable for me, so I worked that job my second year of school. It was minimum wage. I worked overtime. I hoped to save up for a car. My parents said they couldn’t afford my tuition and since they wouldn’t let me have a bank account without them having access, they made me pay my tuition. I paid 20k that year. So I transferred out of state year 3 of college and out of state tuition is 30k, my parents paid and bought a new car and paid for my sisters tuition which was 8k

I had to take out loans after that for a lot of things cuz I graduated in 5 years, my parents co-signed and said they’d pay the loans back. My grad “gift” was hey we need u to pay them back. So no, my parents will not be helping me financially. They offered to pay half the loans but I don’t trust them.

And my parents are giving me an ultimatum that either I do the masters rn or I do it next year but choose another path for my career because I need to be married off soon
