For anyone confused, damn near all Brits (at least every one I’ve ever met) has been BAFFLED at the distance people regularly drive in America bc for them, they rarely drive long distances. It’s likely due to them living on an island (a larger one, but nonetheless much smaller than the whole U.S.) while america is massive
