I’m interested in short term but open long term. He’s very respectful, smart and funny, and meets my other standards but I feel that politics also influences ethics/morals. And if you disagree doesn’t that mean they won’t support you personally??

What specifically do you not align on? Are they things that are a huge part of your life/ do they come up often and would not aligning make you feel unsafe or unsupported in any way?

I mean if my bf is not ok with immigration I’m gonna have a problem, if he’s mediocre on feminism or queer rights which are things that affect me and my friends, then I’m not gonna be ok with it- if u aren’t willing to back all of me with ur vote and beliefs, then u can’t back me up as a person

He's pro choice, pro immigration, very educated on issues affecting poor non white communities and how they get exploited, but then he's a Trump supporter and I feel like that doesn't make sense. Especially with everything happening now in the world
