I’m sorry fairy you’re going to fuss at me. I’m not on birth control because of personal preference. But the sex is only with my partner of four years at least and it’s very rare that it is unprotected 😭

Well at least STIs are less likely than if it was hookups. Your birth control doesn’t have to be hormonal or long term! Look into a diaphragm with spermicide and/or BBT tracking. Diaphragms are a barrier method that doesn’t come between you and your partner, just your cervix and their sperm. Spermicide makes your reproductive tract inhospitable to sperm. Both are used as needed and BBT is just harnessing your existing cycle. You can still be safe from pregnancy without hormones!

I’m so glad that landed well! It’s always a gamble lol I’m definitely an advocate for hormonal birth control because it’s been such a positive in my life, but I’m also here for harm reduction (in the sense that an unwanted pregnancy would be a harm) and will absolutely connect people with a pregnancy prevention method that suits them! This isn’t my day job, just something I’m passionate about. I did a LOT of reading before I picked a method for myself and I like to be a big sister where I can☺️

But hmu if you have any questions about the methods I mentioned! I’m happy to provide sources too. Diaphragms do require a prescription because they have to be appropriately fitted, but you can start using spermicide and BBT right away!
