As a girl who takes bc mostly for cyst prevention I’m considering getting a nexplanon because I struggle to remember to take my pills and order new ones. What was your experience like and would you recommend it?

I have one and have had one for over 2 years, and I honestly love it. I personally didn’t have a real “period” for a whole year and the first one I had since was pretty heavy, but after that it’s died down and I have a light one like once every 2-3 months. It hasn’t really affected me otherwise, maybe a slight weight gain the first 6-8 months, but I lost it

Nexplanon would be a great pick for you! To prevent cysts, you need something that consistently prevents ovulation, so Nexplanon checks that box. Side effects are very individual, so unfortunately there is an element of trial and error, but if it doesn’t work out, you can always get it removed. It’s worth a try!
