I try not be emotional but my cycle is so bad and I already come from a very emotional household, this is probably way to personal to even talk about but I think most women just aren’t taught about their hormonal cycle and how to manage emotions properly

I think that’s true and we shouldn’t assume someone struggles with accountability just because they are a man, but also, it is a fact that men are less emotionally mature than women due to the way men are socialized

I think that depends on the context and how you define “emotional maturity” then. I think men and women have different strengths and weaknesses as a result of many factors—including socialization

i agree w your statement that women can also be bad at accountability, but i also think it makes a lot of sense to assume there is a gendered element because of certain trends and systemic gendered issues. I am not saying men are inherently that way, but there seems to be a historical trend of that being the case if you read women’s accounts of their experiences in relationships with men over time

But honestly, things are changing really fast and I think men in our generation/younger generations seem less likely to struggle with that tbh, so idk, maybe that pattern is starting to be broken and it really is starting to become more equal
