While yes period products should 100% be free, let’s please remeber this: not everyone is able to acquire birth control for many different reasons, either they have a very controlling and abusive family, they cannot afford it especially with these rising prices, or they live rurally and aren’t able to go to a pharmacy/store on their own to purchase them. So while period products should also be free, the condoms they give away at school could be someone’s only avenue of acquiring them

My school finally started supplying them bc no one is paying, even $0.25, for a damn shriveled up napkin. However, this is only week two, so who knows if it’s gonna be replaced.

Idk ab ur school but mine also has free pads and tampons in bathrooms. It’s sad that it’s not more widespread though.

my school gives both BUT i will note that while my parents would pay for my period products and not punish me for having them, they absolutely would never allow me to have condoms so it’s good that colleges provide protection. kids are stupid and are often more likely to risk disease than to abstain, so it’s for the benefit of public health to have them.
