Ok girls question. I have been considering buying myself a hair bonnet to sleep in, but am hesitant. For context, I am a white girl, with thin, light colored, wavy hair prone to split ends. I want to protect my hair while being culturally sensitive. Help?

Bonnets are made to protect your hair. As long as you havent made fun of BIPOC for wearing bonnets before or try to make it your personality, it should not matter. Just be aware that some people may make an issue out of it, but usually those are people who in lack of better words, don't know better. Bonnets have been a part of almost every culture, we should all appreciate our hair and leave people alone when they want to do whats best for it

i genuinely feel like if you're not showing it off and making a big deal out of it and only wearing it for the intended use then it's fine

Hair is hair, and if you think it’ll help then go for it. I’m a white girl who’s always using hair care products made by BIPOC people because I just do not have tame, straight-slightly wavy hair like my other white friends, and BIPOC people generally make products that actually work for my hair type

I got one but I had a difficult time with it because it’d make my head hurt. I’ve never been good with headbands and such. Def worth trying though.
