It’s not horrible gore. There’s a scene in a car that a lot of people thought was pretty gorey. There’s also some depictions of bodily fluids, eating animals that aren’t commonly eaten here, blood, spit/throwup, but I really think it was pretty manageable.

I think it was over hyped specifically on the front that it was horror. Like people going crazy because Nikki walked backwards or the car scene. When I left, I realized I felt much more sad during the movie than scared. It wasn’t scary for the reasons people cite.

The movie also made me think alot after I left theaters cause it’s depressing how alot of men are like “oh Nikki is like my gf/wife” but also at the same time I sort of relate to how Nikki was acting while controlled
