I want children but when I mention being reasonably afraid of pregnancy I get hit with “you’re body’s built for it why are you so scared”… like just because we can do it doesn’t mean it’s not physically damaging as fuck 😭

reading You Weren’t Meant To Be Human made me genuinely terrified of being pregnant because it illustrated the horror of being debilitating sick for months, cultivating in actual torture & followed by permanent changes to my body that would make it no longer feel like my body…

Billions of women figure it out. I’m sure if it happens you’ll likely find a way to manage.

That is not OP’s point. Saying “oh you’ll figure it out” is an acceptable and (if said in the right way and context) even supportive response to someone who is excited but nervous about a pregnancy they ALREADY have, not someone TERRIFIED of being pregnant in the first place. Some of us would literally rather die (I’m getting a hysterectomy in 6 years on the grounds that I WOULD- because I WOULD- be suicidal if it happened to me). This mindset is how women and unwanted children end up miserable.

Girl do you have a demon in you telling you to do flesh sacrifices? Do I have to speak Jesus’s name to cast them out of you? Just incase. I got you. In the name of the one true God, Jesus Christ, I cast the demons from your flesh back to the pit from which they came. 🙌. Stop freaking out. You got this.

Nonhormonal IUDs don’t have side effects I had one for years and would absolutely recommend it

everyone reacts differently but for me it honestly felt exactly like period cramps. A good dr will time the insertion right with your cycle so your cervix is softer and it isn’t as bad

First off. I didn’t wish pregnancy on you. I just said if it happens, you’ll likely figure out a way to handle the situation. Second, you’re absurdly overly dramatic.

Honestly a little? Not trying to rage bait the people in the chat just maybe the devils on their shoulder telling them the future is so horrible they should mutilate themselves. Yall don’t know the future. Chill out. I refuse to believe any of you are less capable than any of the other women who managed that exact situation just fine.

Nonsense. I believe in them. Now they just gotta believe in themselves. People are way stronger than they give themselves credit for being in any given moment.

I had to get the hormonal IUD(compared to the copper one) because I can’t have metal in my body since I regularly need to get MRI’s(you can’t have metal in your body when you get an MRI..) and it completely stopped my period after having it for 3-6 months and as someone who had debilitating periods it has been an absolute godsend!!!

I mean it is natural…that’s how the population…exists…but then again it contributes to natural selection in a way, which is horrifying, and there are a lot of modern safety measures to help as much as possible, but back in the day it wasn’t so absurd for mothers to die from birth, which again is terrible but the unfortunate truth
