plus, what’s wrong with straight people bringing awareness to either traditionally lgbt entertainment that they enjoy or infringements on the rights of queer people in the first place?

I hate the stereotype currently around only being involved in things that directly affect you. I don't know if it was the whole thing where a few years ago it was super sad to not talk about things that don't directly affect you, but these issues are affecting our neighbors and our friends. We all need to be aware of everything going on and talk about all of it.
