unless ur explaining a concept to someone who already knows about the concept or is clearly well-versed in it, ur not mansplaining and dont need to worry

The thing is I do that by accidentally because I get really excited about a topic. I never mean it in a condescending way, more in a “kid excitedly telling a parent/teacher something they know” kind of way, but I stop myself and apologize whenever I catch myself doing it. I’ve been working on it.

i always find that endearing, but i always love hearing people talk about the things they love. i think as long as you give people a moment to react or respond it’s ok!

I actually really do appreciate that. The last guy I was with hated whenever I did that, even though I always told him it doesn’t mean I think he is dumb (quite the contrary), but I just get excited or passionate and wanted to share it with someone.
