So… am I evil for saying that even if I’m your partner… I don’t need to deal with your mental health all the time especially when I have my own issues and partner refuses to see a therapist?? Like I can support you, but I am not licensed

no because although you do love your partner, you cannot be responsible for EVERYTHING in their life or their mental health, that is not your responsibility- it’s theirs. if they won’t get the help they clearly need, it’s not up to you to continually pick up the pieces because all you’re doing is draining yourself & not focusing on your own issues

no this is so true and it’s not fair to you to be put in that role when it isn’t your job (i say this as someone who has lifelong issues with mental health)

Not to be the person, but I will never be with someone who has mental health issues. IM SORRY! BUT! My 2 ex boyfriends had mental health issues and they took it out on me each and every time, they made ME feel bad about myself, and made my life feel just as bleak and dull. I had to fully change my life to see the brighter side again. Maybe they were just horrible people but I promised myself never again

being supportive is one thing, but don’t let someone put all their issues on you. that’s how my dad is and that’s why now his wife and all of his children have problems 🫩
