if a trans woman walks into the women's bathroom and I, as a Muslim Hijabi woman am adjusting my hijab, would you warn me? or would you let a person with XY chromosomes walk in and see my hair? which violates my religion? if we're going to disregard the "conservative propaganda" then we have to support and be respectful of EVERYONE. think before you post. some people quite literally cannot support certain things.

anyways, it's up to you and everyone else that will read this post to decide how they digest this information. clearly it's a little hard to swallow for you. but that's OK, I wasn't trying to change your mindset. I just wanted you to understand my perspective. if we're considering trans women women, then me also being a woman should grant me permission to express my womanly concerns by your own standards. Goodnight dear <3

While this is the most straw man of all straw mans, and I see a valid point in it (we should respect people’s religions and their beliefs) it is impossible to satisfy every belief. This does not mean that trans women aren’t women. It means that some people and some beliefs don’t see them as such. The solution to this issue is NOT to force trans women into men’s restrooms, where they are at high risk of harassment or assault. There is nuance here.

hijabi women are some of the must accepting of trans women in my area, so this comment is hilarious. You do not know someone's chromosomes. there are more then two combinations. the Quran does not specify based on chromosomes.

I can't believe y'all reported my comment lmao. I wasn't even hating, genuinely expressing my own perspective. the double standards are wild. anyways, here's a comment specifically for OP. OP you can't... change your chromosomes... a trans woman will always have XY chromosomes. I have been around many trans people. they all have expressed concerns with not fitting in anywhere they go and feeling unsafe the second they leave the house. since you wanted to bring up the Qur’an first, I'm gonna drop this here. https://www.miracles-of-quran.com/gender.html

and that is an interpretation of the Quran, not the book itself

those combinations are the result of genetic abnormalities and extremely rare. the chance of you running into someone with Kinefelter Syndrome or something like it is so low. you have to learn biology lmao.

honey read the whole thing. don't cherry pick parts and pieces to support your argument.

why not? you're cherry picking to support your bigotry.

how did i cherry pick? I showed you a valid piece of evidence. you argued that the Qur'an doesn't specifically mention chromosomes. here's something you don't know about the Qur'an. without it's interpretations, not a single person in this world would ever understand it's teachings. you cannot have one or the other.

if you're counting an interpretation by a random as the actual meaning of the Quran then you are not arguing in good faith.

who are you to decide if the person interpreting it is random? fine if you want an interpretation from a non-random then here it is. you can't corner me. https://islamqa.info/en/answers/21582
