tbf the case has a good chance to go through because of the “voluntary intoxication loophole.” so people should put more focus on repealing that loophole from the states in which it exists, since it actively enables rape

the case itself is not equivalent to broader advocacy related to the laws enabling legal defense of actual rape. so let’s focus on the case AND the context which enables rapists like the defendants to walk.
