As someone who’s always wanted a daughter (fine with any child though), I could never fully understand modern-day parents who get disappointed in having a girl or abort because it’s a girl. Makes me kinda sad tbh (I’m pro-choice though, I respect autonomy

You know what? I actually don’t respect their right to an abortion in that specific case. You can get an abortion for almost any reason, but getting one to try to choose how your child turns out is where I draw the line. If you make the choice to have a child, as a parent you have to be able to accept that child no matter what. Otherwise you should not be a parent

General “you” btw. Also I don’t think this is widespread issue, if it’s an issue at all, but I’m sick of seeing parents crying sad tears at gender reveals because they didn’t get what they want. Feel blessed it’s a healthy baby or that you can conceive at all

The reason I made this post was because my psychology textbook said that girl fetuses are more likely to be aborted than boy fetuses and I figured it was probably because the parents wanted a boy
