Extremely reasonable. Just doing it alone is bad enough, but posting about it like it’s something to be proud of is a whole new level of despicable.

too many people take drinking and driving lightly. especially posting about it?! like it’s funny? that’s crazy to me. i broke up with a guy for that. definitely reasonable to just cut contact if that’s what you want to do.

No cause no to get dark, but if she was comfortable enough to post that, she would be comfortable doing that with you in her car one day and God knows what would happen then. Also there’s no way to justify that kinda behavior because it’s harmful in every direction. You clearly have a strong sense of your own morals and values, respect for you.

You’re not wrong for this at all, it’s not funny or cute to put other people’s lives in danger

I fucking hate drunk drivers. The most selfish thing you could do

I absolutely would not want to continue a relationship with someone who I knew did that. Drinking and driving is incredibly irresponsible and shows a gross disregard for the safety of others

You decide what is okay and not okay because it’s your life. Aside from basic morals of course.

Obviously drinking and driving is bad but you have no control over what others do. I think if she’s a really good friend of yours try bringing it up with her. People make mistakes, maybe it was just a one time thing that she regrets

3 of my friends were killed by a drunk driver the summer after we graduated, so maybe I’m a little more against it than most, but it’s still gross behavior and I think you’re valid

what im leaning towards. she was also just going to the gym. i can MAYBE understand if its an emergency or a dv situation but even then i would need a lot of details. then this morning a normal person would probably delete the story but she just tried to justify it and was like "holy crashout"

yeah only a like “i need to get out here immediately and get very far away quickly and i don’t have time to wait for an uber or to sober up” situation would i think drunk driving is okay. even then. posting about it? and dying on that hill and trying to defend yourself? that’s another level of just irresponsible and stupid.

Yeah, I drove buzzed once and it was because I was completely alone at a party and the host was making me feel extremely unsafe. Unfortunately it was winter break and uber wasn’t really available in that area back then. The lesson I learned from that is to always have a safe way out, whether that’s a DD, walking, staying sober, etc.
