No offense but I do prefer to be friends with women who don’t just say “my dream is to be a wife and have kids” like yea me to and so as everyone else but there needs to be more of a dream besides just that I’m not saying it has to be a career

I want to be a wife and have kids but calling it a dream is a stretch 😭 my dream is to be majorly successful and happy in a career

that’s more of a goal than a dream i feel like. there’s more to life than marriage and kids lmao

I want to cuddle with some foxes, visit a few spiritually important places around the world in person, learn another three or four languages, and (morbid) want to donate my body to science when the time comes and am between two approaches to that.

That’s a whole career. So what if someone wants to be a stay at home mom???? If someone rly puts in the work to be at home with their kids and be a hardworking partner for their husband at work, that’s an equal trade and I’m sure any husband would be grateful for that.

god forbid someone wants to be friends with people who have similar lifestyles/dreams. i hate to say it but unless your husband is giving you a paycheck you’re not making the same money/having the same opportunity to do things as women w careers

If you want to be friends with like-minded people, that’s one thing and you can make that decision for yourself, but to decide to make a random post lowkey calling out women who’s biggest dream is to be a dedicated mother is another thing.

what is the callout here? that women should an identity outside of being a mother? how is that controversial omg

Because to bring a random opinion on here for no reason but to make a comment about not preferring to be friends w women who desire to be a mom sounds pretty negative to me.

Oh, grow up. This wasn’t a post meant to target and insult people so stop looking for offence where there is none. This is simply about wanting more variety when it comes to friendship and what they might enjoy. It’s really not that serious. OP was very clear about that.
