It’s also ok to just not be mentally ready for it yet. Like my bf and I are 23 and 25, relatively financially stable and together for 2.5 years but I still wanna see where our careers go before we make the decision 🤷‍♀️

so many young people rush into engagements. like marriage is expensiveee. like we’ll still love eachother in 5 years when we actually have money lmao.

Exactly! my bf and I are 24 and 25 and have been together 4 years but we’re both in grad school and working part time. I’d want to be a bit more financially stable, done with school, and have a place of our own (don’t even have to be bought, rent works too) before getting engaged cause I don’t want him to thing of the financial stress of getting me a ring (he could honestly get me a ring pop and I’d be happy but ik he wants to get me something nice)
