I was taking to this girl in the hair aisle today and I told her that my hairs been all messed up ever since I started getting symptoms/diagnosed with PCOS and she told me to fast... can someone please explain how that would help

I’m not an expert on this as I don’t actively do much for my pcos. However I think it’s generally bad to fast especially bc of our cravings, and we are supposed to get a lot more protein especially in the first two meals of the day. If it has to do with hair loss not just texture changes, nizoral shampoo is fire not every day though to get the dht off, and yaz bc helped mine more than spiro

It wasn't me just randomly mentioning it she was helping me find products because my usual stuff wasn't helping my hair anymore and she asked if I had any hormonal changes because that can effect your hair

Well that's what I was thinking also I feel like it was disrupt your hormones more to fast. Maybe it works for her and I hope it does but I was just so confused lol

Yeah I feel like it would make you more inflamed but it could work for her. I’d do my own research and trials before trying another’s methods, especially one that dangerous lol.

Yeah I've been looking at holistic methods to help because BC is like a last option for me
