this and also as more ppl use the word more ppl learn it and begin to realize that they also experience it but never knew the term for it

Of course it’s a real thing but the usage of the word has really ramped up lately especially in ads on social media. When that happens it tends to water down the meaning of the word and people grow tired of hearing it

sure but you’re claiming it’s a buzzword that people are tired of hearing but it’s a legitimate experience that especially neurodivergent people suffer from whether people think it’s watered down or not

how does it water down the meaning? is the word “tired” meaningless because people use it a lot in a lot of different contexts?

Two things can be true at once. It’s a real thing that people experience and also businesses have latched onto that and used “overstimulation” in their marketing, so people are sick of hearing it
