I would say stick to small things you know he enjoys. You can make a basket with snacks and treats he likes, a gift card, and 1 big item that aligns with his interests. For example, if he likes basketball: you could get him some of his favorite snacks to watch games, a gift card to a sports merch store, and then maybe a item with his teams logo on it that he doesn’t have.
