Does anyone get a crippling migraine the week before their period? I’ve had floaters, hand numbness, and a horrible headache. I’ve been drinking water nonstop today and I’m absolutely miserable rn 😭

I have had chronic migraines for about 7 yrs (I’m on meds) and this past year the only breakthrough ones I’ve had were right before my period or during thunderstorms. Periods can be a migraine trigger, so keep chugging water. Most people put ice on their neck, but I find warmth helps me more. I’ll just lay on the couch with a warm rice bag on my face, take an edible, and wait till the pain stops

It’s okay! I took extra strength Tylenol the second my floaters started and normally I don’t get migraines with my period; but things change😭 I get bad migraines on my own and I’m on the pill; rn I just wanna be held

I feel like I should provide some resources or a crisis center helpline perhaps

I appreciate it ♥️♥️ I’ve got my lights set to red and laying down seems to help; snuggling a squish mallow and waiting to put sheets in dryer; I’m sorry you them too :((

But yea it’s weird cause my period never triggered them before. But also maybe it did? I’m not sure bc I was having them like on a weekly basis so I couldn’t figure out triggers until now

I got diagnosed with migraines as a kid and I know mine can be caused by not eating on my focus meds and dehydration but also heat and blue light from a computer. My POTS can also trigger my migraines and vice versa. I LOVE being a woman!
