no bc i truly believe that someone who loves you will care about you and listen to you and WANT to know what’s going on in your life no matter what. i also have a shitty family but my boyfriend is the first person to get angry on my behalf and encourage me to stick with my boundaries no matter how upset people get with me or how guilty i feel
