That’s not progressive. That’s performance. One who supports SA (especially women but men too) cannot possibly also be anti establishment and pro justice!
So as someone who is progressive I’m getting really sick as a cocsa victim of seeing other progressives (men and women) constantly defend sa. Obviously there’s a decent half that don’t and I’m over there but how tf are you progressive and defend SA??

That’s what I keep trying to tell myself but it gets so draining watching people actively be (probably a performance like you said) anti racist, pro women, pro queer people, pro disabled people, etc. and then randomly spout something in defense of a known SAer and them abusing someone. Like I’m genuinely questioning if they even believe what they say bc sa is a tool of control involved in all forms of bigotry or if they’re living in a high level of cognitive dissonance

1. Probably performance 2. They idol the SAer for some reason (Trump for example) which is stupid and small brained 3. They believe the accusations are untrue (possibly because they’ve been exposed to instances where it was untrue in the past) and are wrongly applying that experience to this one 4. Probably just performance

But I’m super sorry that happened to you. It genuinely pisses me off how many people 1. Don’t believe victims and 2. Somehow find a way to use the movement for their personal gain despite being a perp or a non victim Or 3. Even worse: uses the movement to cover their own actions. Fuck SA and fuck everyone who thinks It’s a joke!!
