i hate when i’m sick and need to take off of work but my boss wants a doctors note. like are you gonna pay for that appointment cause i don’t have insurance 😭😭

To be clear this is not a dunk on you but I bet you work in retail, food or customer service. I stg bosses in unserious jobs like that take shit so seriously for no reason.

That honestly makes sense, I suppose it’s like a uniform school policy sort of deal. I assume the students there would have a similar rule as a typical school as far as doctor’s notes go. Still, not providing affordable and decent insurance and expecting a note is crazy

i completely understand like not wanting your employees to be calling out all the find but i rarely call out so when i do i genuinely need to and if i had insurance i would get a doctors note but with the price id have to pay for insurance.
