There are many rehabilitation centers that specialize and care about the safety of marine animals, yes there will always be those terrible instances and documentaries that are wonderful to show people that are unaware. But don't villainize every person in those positions.

Yes, dolphins still need medical care, mobility help, engagement, etc. that is done by a dolphin trainer, there's more technical roles but that's the general umbrella term. Someone needs to teach the dolphin to know what to do during blood tests, or medical exams. But it also keeps them engaged mentally and physically as obviously those spaces try their best but you can't recreate the ocean and they can get depressed if there aren't other dolphins ready to go in the tank with them
