i have a high yield savings account. but times are tough. that mf is at $0.00 and has been for months. like the concept of having emergency money is so foreign to me and ppl act like thats crazy like babe…ur lucky i met u for coffee. and i still just got a water😭

yeah fr. i know they mean well and i appreciate they keep asking me to come bc they want me to be included but. we’ll have to chat as a friend group so i can let them know that i like the consideration but it makes me kinda upset to have to miss out on everything because i cant afford it or i have to work. like thanks but i didnt rlly need the reminder that im poor. im still wearing clothes from 2019 and they have nuuly and aritzia packages daily so i look chopped w them. idk. just sucks :/

like? i run a strict program w my money bc i have to! genuinely, i know exactly how much im getting, and exactly what bills im paying in what order. like i fear that ppl who haven’t had to live that, god bless em, dont get it. i work 2 jobs while in school, and at the end of the month all im lucky if i even have $100 to my name for funsies. i dont have money to “save” it HAS to be used so i can eat, have a home, have utilities, have a working phone, have internet and a car. theres nothing left!

genuinely how i feel bro. i wear shit until its worn tf out. and then it becomes house/sleepwear until its literally unwearable, and then depending on the material, it becomes a rag. ill occasionally hit up tj maxx or ross for office wear but thats about it😭

u a real friend. i wasnt always down this severely, and when i wasnt if i wanted to go eat w my friend and they said they didn’t have money, my answer was always “i didnt ask if you had money i asked if you wanted to go get tacos and margs”. i dont expect ppl to pay for me but if u ask me to do stuff 20 times and i say i cant bc of my finances 20 times.,pls stop asking bc now i just feel bad🥲
