i’ve noticed it before but someone said it on tiktok and now i can’t stop thinking about how women singers all have to be perfect with good voices but male singers can barely hold a note and get away with it. not every male obviously but like damn bro

Not to mention the public image/aesthetic aspect of it. Like I swear every male country singer looks like the exact same overweight, undergroomed couch potato who only drinks beer and they’re wildly popular (amongst country fans anyway), meanwhile every female singer is fit, perfectly groomed, perfect makeup and hair, uncomfortable outfits, etc.

of all male singers those are usually the ones that actually sound kinda good it’s like u gotta decide between being hot or sounding good as a man but as a woman it has to be both
