Periods could be a beautiful time of rest tbh and the things the female body is capable of but 1) doctors don’t take women’s health or gyno health seriously and 2) we still have to work during our cycle I am TIRED bc I am releasing blood

i went to the hospital over a bartholin cyst that left me with 10/10 pain unable to walk, lay down or sleep comfortably and they told me there was nothing they could do and they discharged me with no pain medication 🙃

They said it wasn’t ready to be drained and told me to just take hot baths. I got them frequently for over 2 years too and no one could help me. I needed my mom to give me her prescription pain pills just to be able to get 3 hours of sleep a night

I haven’t had it in a couple years thank god it was literally just like a year and a half that i was getting them on and off non-stop. But trust me, I went to the hospital, gyno, urologist and they all basically didn’t have anything they could do for me besides surgery, which they didn’t wanna do bc i was only 19 and they didn’t wanna damage my coochie

I was on the table for surgery the day after the cyst popped and they couldn’t do it because there was no physical sign of a cyst ever being there so they didn’t know exactly where to even cut, even the doctors were confused. I honestly think it was my body telling me to end my relationship bc they would only occur like a day after sex and i haven’t gotten once since we broke up which has been like 3 years now 💀
