Can’t stand everyone and their wannabe therapy talk and everyone believing them. No it’s not a boundary to say if someone doesn’t have sex with you by a certain time you’re going to stop talking to them. That’s not a normal thing to say or even think

People not realizing normal rules for things change once you bring sex into the convo, it’s dangerous and pretending it’s not is going to lead to very dangerous situations, behavior, issues, etc.

I cannot stand my old roommate that said she needed the room to be her safe space. So she inconvenienced me for the entire year. I literally walked on eggshells around her. Like what about MY comfort??? I just liked occasionally listening to music in the shower but she said the noise triggered her.

well, it depends on the exact language cuz you have a comment quoting him that's very different from the original posts suggestion

Funny enough that’s actually why I don’t consider it one because going through with half of it could put another person at danger and it might just be a personal opinion but a boundary (at least in the therapy sense) should never endanger another person

Curious, how is it different? The boundary is a “either we have sex on my time whether you want to or not or I ignore you”

it’s not. a boundary is about creating limits to your relationship for both of your health and well being. a boundary might be “if you yell at me, i’m going to leave until you calm down and talk to you later”. it’s about reaction to behavior, because you can’t control how other people act. saying “if you don’t do this i’ll do this” isn’t a boundary, it’s the exact opposite, it’s a demand you’re refusing to accept your inability to control others and making demands of them
