for me i’m just trying to show up. i’m putting things on my social media, i’m searching for protests to go to, as a teacher i’m showing up for my students and i’m prepared to defend them if it comes to it. it’s really easy to feel helpless, but even the small things matter

i genuinely had to lock myself out of social media after a set time limit because it just isn't good to scroll thru this stuff all day everyday. yes it's good to be informed, but u can't be drowning in bad news all day everyday if it's affecting ur mental health
