See as a recent graduate I’m getting the sense that many older women hate the young women they’re leading. They see what they could’ve been in us and they don’t wanna help us grow, they wanna push us down and I’m EXHAUSTED.

i’m hoping that’s it and it’s not personal. i’m also NOT neurotypical so my tone of voice can be kind of flat, especially if i’m focused on something (like a mistake) and can’t give extra effort to masking to raise my tone and sound more cheerful and i have rbf. idk this isn’t about men but i do feel like if i spoke in the exact same way and i was a man she wouldn’t have gotten so mad but women are expected to be more chirpy and do more emotional labor to inflate their boss’s ego.

idk im sure i SOUNDED like a bitch (i kept adhd interrupting her BUT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT I SWEAR) and i was rbf staring her with a super flat voice (i also have a deep voice) but the CONTENT of what i was saying was appropriate. she genuinely looked like she wanted to beat my ass!!! i was like lady you trained me and you never showed me how to do this
