Yep, also because it usually warms up enough to melt the snow, then it re freezes overnight and turns into straight ice

I’m a northerner, and I’ve never said or thought that before. Like obviously our weather is more intense but because we regularly face it, we’re prepared to plow roads, wear warm clothes, use snow tire, etc… if you don’t have that stuff on standby, it makes sense to close things down
