It kind of depends. my parents didn’t care when I was growing up and now I feel like I can barely talk to other girls without being awkward. I always had a “boyfriend” of some kind to hangout with and now I dont know how to make real friends

yk what, my mom did. made me a lot more mature in relationships than the rest of my peers by the time I started dating seriously. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I didn’t like and how to communicate in a healthy way. and im a great flirt lol

Yeah don’t forbid talking to the opposite sex, but at the same time don’t tease your kid about having a “crush” every time they talk to one either. Let them figure it out and come to you for advice.
