My students have been asking for a class room pet and I want to get them something that they will like but isn’t actually alive because my students are 1st graders so idk how well they would do with an actual animal
My 3rd grade teacher had a blue bottle that you couldn’t see inside with like some rope coming out of it and said there was a little man thing trapped in there who only came out at night

Have you considered a plant as a “pet”? It’s not something that can be hurt and it can still be used to teach responsibility and how to care for living things :)
