I hate that I have a fibroadenoma and I can’t even afford the surgery 😭 so I’m just suffering in silence how much longer can I take before I off myself

Oh my god I had one removed last year! It was in my left breast and it hurt so bad. It ached constantly and then my arm would fall asleep when I laid on my left side. It doubled in size within 6 months. It was like 4cm by 4cm by 3cm or some shit. It was a decent size. Lemmie tell you smth now, whenever you do get it removed, go to a breast specialist, not a regular doctor. I live in ATL so I went to breast care specialists and they were wonderful

mine hurts when I’m about to start my Period and I did go to the er at first cause of the pain and I noticed it seemed larger the doctor was male and he didn’t even care so then I got referred to a women’s health center and got ultrasound/biopsy and then got my surgery scheduled but then cancelled because I couldn’t afford it 😢 I’m planning on getting it out before the end of the year I’ll just bring it up to my mom again cause i feel like it’s gotten bigger. It measured at almost 6 cm in March

Also how was the surgery like and is the scarring bad?

The surgery was easy. Recovery was the worst part only because sitting around and avoiding the gym SUCKED. I was bored. That was the worst part. A year post op and you can’t even tell where the scar is. They hid it very well in the edge of my nipple. Oh yeah and 6cm needs to come out. Like that’s gotta be awful. (I have a photo of my lump post-excision if you wanna see😂) the surgeon took a photo of it

Oh definitely be glad you went to a women’s health center. They will take you seriously for sure!

As long as you get a surgeon who cares about it and also knows about plastic surgery then you should be good. Absolutely stress this worry to your doctor!!!
