I know yall won’t understand, but I was falsely accused thru frats who made it a big deal on Yik yak the girl had to apologize to me but by then it was to far gone the rumors had been spread on here. So I know what it’s like to have a false accusation at an activist school, yall talk like you know the literal facts and what happened you do not. I will NEVER sympathize with a rapist from my own experience though I can tell you never speak on an incident you have no knowledge of.

Most accusations don’t result in convictions. And most convictions don’t result in actual punishment. Men are many times more likely to be raped themselves, by other men, than to be falsely accused by a woman.

Okay so that’s just not true. Just look up the stats for yourself it’s 3.8% of men are raped and most studies put false accusations at a 5.9% (numbers are from CDC and the department of justice) I’ll give you there’s terrible studies about male SA accusations but at that point we just need more studies so I’m gonna form my opinion on what we assume to be true.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

I believe that stat is based on how many rape charges are not convicted/the victim retracts their desire to prosecute. That does not necessarily mean it was a false accusation. A deeper dive shows men are about .03% likely to be raped in a year, and .0002% likely to be falsely accused in a year.

You shouldn’t be partial to anyone unless evidence comes out. Especially knowing that black men are extremely likely to be falsely accused by a white woman. I wouldn’t risk possibly ruining someone’s life, etc unless I have evidence. I’m a rape victim myself. Once by a guy much older than me, and once by my ex boyfriend which I then promptly left him a few weeks after. It’s understandable that people would want proof. It should always be innocent until proven guilty. Without that mindset-

What exactly does accepting the truth do? Men already know the harm they cause. The most progressive countries also tend to have the men that cause the most sexual violence and you can look this up. The cold truth is that the chemicals that make up a man’s biology AKA mostly testosterone leads to this violence. The punishments for such a thing just have to be more severe and I say this as a man. It is quite literally in men’s nature to act more violently sexually and physically.

And I’m not saying this as an excuse for men to do what they want because it’s in their nature. I would always advocate that they need to be more heavily punished, but unfortunately most world leaders are also sexual aggressors that came from frats, cults, etc.

That’s not how those stats work. It’s the chance that a man will be raped or falsely accused annually, not the percent of men raped or falsely accused annually. It’s the difference between saying everyone has a 1% chance of dying every year versus 1% of people die every year. Obviously not accurate numbers but that’s the point being made. It’s more likely a man will be raped than falsely accused.
