I’ve commented on it recently n like. I literally cannot make it any easier for him but he was just “🤷‍♂️” so ngl I’m gonna lay it out for him when he gets off work n tell him that i’m his partner, not his mother. either he can figure his shit out or i can leave. i refuse to let it snowball into me eventually becoming a full on maid n shouldering all of the cleaning

initially I just silently threw stuff away thinking he forgot or was in a hurry. the third time I found lint laid on top of the dryer I added the waste bin. then it was like 50/50 whether I would find it on the floor or in the bin. got snippy on my period one day n asked him why all of sudden he seemed to be incapable of using the trash can that’s RIGHT THERE n he just shrugged it off bc like. i think he genuinely doesn’t get why it bugs me bc he thinks it’s small stuff. but it adds up fr

like if it was JUST the lint that would be one thing. but it’s a lint ball here, an empty drink packet there, an empty box left in a cabinet, empty plastic wrapping from tp/paper towels left under the sink, etc. n it may not be a true “mess” but I spend cumulative hours every week keeping the house clean yk
