Every medication has a risk:benefit analysis that’s unique to each person. It’s perfectly fine if it’s not for you, but if you are interested, be sure to discuss any benefits you’d like or risks you’re especially concerned about with your healthcare provider. There are methods that may be lower or no risk in certain areas!
re-commenting: for me, the side effects were awful so i quit cold turkey with permission from my doctors. i don’t like birth control for me and likely won’t get on it again unless i need to for medical reasons. my side effects were: weight gain, extreme depression/anxiety, mood swings, tiredness, headaches etc… i just don’t think it’s good for me. the only positive was that it got rid of my period. it took ab 6 months for me to return to normal.
oh yeah for sure, im just saying they can help a lot with finding the right form for you! the first one i was on was prescribed by my primary doctor and it gave me the worsttt mood swings and depression but i talked to my obgyn and she was able to get me on a different dosage that worked a lot better :)
